1. A remote starter will void my car’s warranty
Myth: “Installing a remote starter voids my warranty.”
Fact: This is false. The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act protects you installing aftermarket parts like remote starters cannot void your car warranty unless the manufacturer proves it’s in the public interest, which is extremely rare.

Pro Tip: If a dealership claims your warranty will be voided, ask them to put it in writing. In thousands of cases, they never can.

2. You can’t add a remote start to a diesel

Myth: “Diesel engines can’t use remote starters.”
